Somewhat Nice

The location was alright. I expected a bit more but the people were cool. Had a good time overall. I just wish they had more room available. It was also a bit stuffy because of the heat but what club doesn't get stuffy from time to time? I would still stop here if I come to SJ again; however, not as a first choice.

Not what I expected or what i claims.

I was in San Jose for the weekend and after reading the description and numerous positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. - Headlined as an: “expansive video bar”. Well, not really, it’s actually a pretty small place with a tiny dance floor. + It was CLEAN and orderly and well maintained. + The actual service bar is huge (taking up probably 1/3 of the available floor space) offering lots of room to mingle and was well staffed with friendly tenders who were able to keep the crowd served in a timely manner. $7 for a simple rum&coke…which was not properly mixed and nearly undrinkably strong but some people like them that way so it’s a matter of taste I guess. - Advertised on their website as: “Downtown San Jose's most diverse bar…”. I’m not sure how they rate that, but last night it was 70%+ guys in jeans and cowboy hats. Nobody made me feel unwelcome, but I quickly got tired of saying “yo no hablo” = Overall: Not a bad place, but not even close to the impression I got from the website and reviews, and even if it was what I was looking for not worth a $10 cover.

Downtown just got cooler

I have gone with my bf and taken a lesbian friend to just hang. The music is great and the staff is really friendly. Definitely one of the cooler places to hang. If you are in town, you gotta check this place out. Have fun!
